British Army Desert "Chukka" Boots

The plain rough-out suede upper with no padded collar is typical of the chukka-style boot. Has an olive green direct-moulded PU sole with zig-zag tread. These boots were typically issued as hot-weather footwear rather than the front line combat boots. They were intended for barrack wear in hot climates; general duties; patrols where heavy ankle support wasn't essential; use in places like Iraq and Afghanistan alongside heavier desert combat boots.
